Our May Bucket List Gives You Plenty of Ideas to Make the Month Memorable
Summer may be on the horizon, but May in its own right can be a month filled with joy, optimism, and excitement. Several key dates fall in May, while there’s still time to do any spring activities you haven’t done yet. Plus, with the nice weather, there are lots of opportunities to make plans.

Visit the farmers’ market for seasonal produce. While the produce will vary depending on where you live, generally in the U.S., you’ll find seasonal veggies like asparagus, peas, and carrots, fresh herbs like mint, parsley, cilantro, and basil, and fruit like various citrus and fresh berries.
Have a last-minute spring getaway.
Have a special brunch on Mother’s Day (May 10). If cooking brunch, we’d go with a frittata and an arugula salad on the side for a savory option. For a sweet option, our favorite option is fluffy blueberry pancakes with maple syrup.
Go for a scenic bike ride or a leisurely bike ride in the park.
Put together a feel-good playlist for get-togethers.

Go for a scenic walk or hike with friends.
Take photos in a wildflower field.
Go berry picking for the day.
Plan a summer trip, weekend getaway, or day trip.
Have a screen-free day outdoors, enjoying the sun.
Go to the movie theater for a new movie release.
Tidy up your backyard or balcony and decorate it for the season.
Play an outdoor game. You can go for active games like frisbee, tennis, or badminton. Or, you can go for some lawn games like cornhole or horseshoe.
Go for ice cream and try a new seasonal flavor like strawberry rhubarb or lemon blueberry.
Go to a rooftop terrace when the weather is nice.
Have a friend get-together outdoors, like in the backyard or at a park.
Host or go to a BBQ for Memorial Day (May 25).
Get a new summer outfit or declutter your closet.
Try a new spring/summer salad recipe.
Get yourself a bouquet of seasonal flowers like tulips or peonies.
Watch the sunset and take some pictures.
Have an outdoor picnic on a nice day.
