Life is often busy and challenging, but it’s often the memories we make and the people we’re with that make it worth it. Yes, vacations and milestones are wonderful times in our lives, but often we overlook how some of our favorite memories come from doing simple things.

Our 30-day challenge is full of activities to encourage you to be present, revisit old memories, and do simple activities, both on your own and with loved ones.

You can get this challenge as a printable that you can put on your notice board, in a binder, or on your refrigerator door. Simply scroll to the end of the article to get it.

30 ideas for creating great memories listed in a 30-day calendar

Below you’ll find the list of ideas in full. All of these are relatively simple activities that utilize things you have at home or close by.

Take a 1-second video for 30 days. Go for moments that are meaningful, memorable, or funny.

Start a memory jar. We like to add things like ticket stubs, photos, quotes that are meaningful to us, short notes describing a happy memory, postcards, and doodles. You can be as creative as you want and add things that are meaningful to you.

Order prints of photos on your phone. You can then frame them or create a scrapbook with them.

Meet a friend for coffee. While you’re at the coffee shop, maybe try a coffee drink you’ve not tried before.

Have a family board game night. We love UNO for a family-friendly game night. If it’s just adults, here are some more games to choose from. Personally, we like Cards Against Humanity for an evening of laughs or one of these board games.

Road trip to your old school, college, or hometown.

Wake up and watch the sunrise outside. We like to put on some music to enjoy with a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise. You can see some morning songs we enjoy below.
