Our living rooms should be a place of tranquility and feel-good factor, right? After all, we spend so much family time there. Even if you’re planning to host this summer, guests in the garden inevitably end up in the living room.

Tired of Not Feeling at Home in Your Living Room?

That’s where our living room cleaning checklist can help out. It has a variety of tasks and ideas for keeping your living room clean and organized. Some of the tasks can be one-offs, and others you can do regularly throughout the summer. Our home organization list also has suggestions for the living room, as well as other rooms of the house.

What’s in the Living Room Checklist

All together, there are twenty-nine tasks and ideas that cover all areas of the living room. We haven’t put this checklist into a calendar, because it’s a checklist to reference throughout the summer.

You can find the best times in the week to prioritize these. Then, some of the one-off tasks, like retouching the paint, you can choose a specific weekend for.

Start a donation box for items you no longer need.

Recycle or toss any items that you don’t need and can’t donate.

Clean the air vents.

Dust the ceiling fans and light fixtures.

Remove any cobwebs.

Wipe down all the surfaces.

Clean inside any drawers or shelves.

Clean any painting/art frames.
