What’s Covered on this Prep Checklist

Remember, this isn’t about doing absolutely everything on the list. This is simply a guide to help you consider everything before Monday arrives. You may already do several, or more, of these activities.

Sunday should be about balance. Use the ideas to get ahead and organized for Monday, but don’t make the day all about work. Have some family time and downtime, too.

Let’s start with the week’s schedule.

Sunday prep shouldn’t just be for Monday; there’s a whole new week ahead.

  • Write down your top three goals for the week.
  • Schedule grocery delivery or a time to go grocery shopping.
  • Review your calendar for appointments and scheduled events.
  • Make a list of errands to run in the week.
  • Check the weather forecast for the week.

Next, let’s get organized.

The more you can wake up on Monday without thinking about what needs to be done, the less chaotic the day should seem. This section has some ideas for that.

  • Plan your outfits for the week.
  • Meal prep or meal plan for the week.
  • Check and sort any bills.
  • Tidy and organize your work bag.
  • Go through the mail.

Put a little time into making your house a home.

Sunday afternoons or evenings are an opportunity to reset the house. Here are a few ideas to help you do this.

  • Do a quick tidy-up of the house.
  • Make a shopping list of household supplies.
  • Tidy and organize your workspace at home.
  • Check the pantry and add what you need to your grocery list.
  • Water your plants.

Don’t forget about your self-care!

As we mentioned above, it shouldn’t be just about work. Give yourself the me time you need, especially in the evenings before bed.

  • Take a few minutes to reflect on the past week.
  • Have some screen-free time in the evening.
  • Plan some fun activities for next week.
  • Listen to your favorite unwind playlist.
  • Try a simple nighttime routine.

A few more ideas.

Lastly, here are a few more considerations to make life just a little easier come Monday.

  • Charge your phone and other electronic devices.
  • Clean your travel coffee mug (ready to be refilled in the morning).
  • Clean and refill your water bottle.
  • Plan your morning commute.
  • Pack your gym bag.

Where to Find the List

You can get it right here. Print it off and put it in your binder or fold it into your diary. You could print a new one off every Sunday, or laminate it and check off the items with a wipeable marker. That way, every weekend you can wipe it down and use it again.

Like we said, everyone can get this way on a Sunday. So it’s better to write everything down and do simple things to make your life easier for Monday morning.

We really hope this checklist helps you out. If you have any great tips for Sunday prep, we’d love to hear about them below.
